Language Arts - Our school uses the READING WONDERS by McGraw Hill program.. It is aligned with Common Core State Standards and has proven to be a very effective approach to teaching and learning the many elements of an effective language arts literacy program.. Each student has an individual log-in and password that will be sent home to use. This is a valuable site that I encourage students to use. Students typically enjoy going to this site to play the interactive games that help build literacy skills.
Phonics/Spelling-We are using Fundations for our phonics/spelling this year. It is a systematic, multi-sensory, rule based program. This is our first year implementing the program.
Math -Our school uses the EVERYDAY MATH program also published by McGraw Hill. The Everyday Math program aligns with the Common Core State Standards. This program also offers students individual log-in and passwords for home use to access their online games and supportive math information. The Student Reference Book is a fantastic resource also available to our class online. The SRB helps explain skills and concepts taught in the classroom..
